PROFILE:
-View Profile: Here you can see your profile exactly as it would appear to others, only you can see a few things such as your profile completion percentage and edit options.
-Edit Profile: Simply click on Edit Profile button to update your profile based on many different criterion, there are different edit buttons for editing the content or photos.
-Saving Profile: After making all changes, you need to click on the Save Profile buttons so that all your changes are saved, you can lick on the Cancel button if case you wish to discard your changes, if you leave the page without saving your changes, you will see a popup asking you to either discard or save your changes.
-Edit Suggestions: Some text fields will show you the most relevant suggestions, simply click on the word to add it, you can also manually type your own custom input, you can also delete anything you want.
-Matching Traits: Here you can see a list of treats that are common between you and the profile you are viewing, it also has the total number of traits in common.
-Maximum Characters: Every text field has counts for number of characters you have already typed and the total number of characters allowed, the cursor will stop typing once you reach the maximum allowed.
-Completing Profile: Feel free to fill as many or fewer fields as you want, we suggest entering as much information as you can so that others can learn more about you.
-Profile Completion: Profile completion percentage is calculated by considering how much information you have filled, roughly half of the weight is assigned to the photos uploaded and other half to the other data entered.
-Inappropriate Language: Entering inappropriate or vulgar language is strictly prohibited and will lead to deletion of your profile, it will also lead to a permanent ban on our platform.
-Profile Screening: Some of the content may go through a screening process, we reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any profile that does not comply with our guidelines.
-Term Violations: All profiles must adhere to our general profile/photo guidelines or they may be removed, members who continuously post content that are against our general guidelines may get banned, and their account may also get permanently terminated, so refrain from posting content that is against our Terms of Use.
-Best Practices: Make sure to keep your profile updated and fill out as much info as possible, doing so can give you extra exposure.
PHOTOS:
-Upload Photos: You can add your photos by clicking on the edit button, which can be found on the respective images.
-Attach Photos: You can attach your photo by clicking on the browse button, you may also drag and drop a file from your file explorer.
-Update Photos: You can upload a new photo to replace the old one, by doing so the old photo will be removed and the new one will appear.
-Remove Photos: You can remove any of your photos by clicking on the edit and then on the remove button, note that you won't be able to recover removed photos.
-Profile Photo: Your profile photo would be used as your main photo in your profile and everywhere else, image dimensions must be within 250px x 250px and 550px x 500px, image size must be less than 5MB.
-Poster Photo: Your poster photo would be used as the canvas photo in your profile and everywhere else, image dimensions must be within 1200px x 1200px and 2400px x 2400px, image size must be less than 5MB.
-Default Photos: A default profile and poster image would appear, if you don't upload either one of the photos.
-Additional Photos: You can and should upload additional photos that would appear in the photos section of your profile by clicking on the Add/Remove Photos button, image dimensions must be within 250px x 250px and 1200px x 1200px, image size must be less than 5MB. .
-Crop Photos: You may also make use of the cropping tools to adjust your uploaded images, you can also see a preview of how your photo would appear in the preview box.
-Photo Quality: Keep in mind that uploading good quality photos will make a dramatic difference to your profile, make sure to upload good quality images as per what is allowed and suggested by us.
-No Photos: Profiles without any profile or poster photos would get very limited exposure and may not even appear in search results, this can significantly diminish your exposure.
-Inappropriate Photos: Uploading inappropriate or fake photos is strictly prohibited and will lead to deletion of your profile, it will also lead to a permanent ban on our platform.
-Photos Screening: All photos will go through a screening process, we reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any photo that does not comply with our guidelines.
-Term Violations: All photos must adhere to our general profile/photo guidelines or they may be removed, members who continuously post photos that are against our general guidelines may get banned, and their account may also get permanently terminated, so refrain from posting photos that are against our Terms of Use.
-Best Practices: Make sure to upload at least your main profile and poster photos and a few of your other best photos, doing so can make a lasting impression.
MATCHES:
-View Messages: Here you can see users with whom you have matched with a mutual like/love, and there has been message exchanges.
-View Matches: Here you can see users with whom you have matched with a mutual like/love, but there has not been any message exchanges, as soon there is a message exchange with a user, it will move to the View Messages section.
-Unmatching/Deleting: You can unmatch any profile you like by simply click on the “X” next to the message in the message list.
-Consequences of Unmatching/Deleting: If you unmatch any profile, all likes, loves, mutuals, messages will get permanently deleted, moreover, neither of you can access each other's profile.
-Privacy: Due to the privacy of our members, the other party will not be informed if you decide to unmatch them.
-Sending Messages: Members can send initial message from a user's profile, subsequent messages or replies can be sent from the inbox.
-Message History Button: If there is a message history with a user then Message History button will appear when you visit their profile page, clicking on this button will take you the inbox thread.
-Spam Alert: We allow users to send five subsequent messages without getting a reply from the other side, after that you must wait for a reply before sending more messages to that person.
-Read Notifications: You can see if the other party has read your message or not in the message thread, this can be particularly good for users who are curious.
-Message Retention: We only store and populate the last 100 messages in each thread, older messages are automatically deleted by using the concept of LIFO last in first out.
-Copy Paste: Copy paste is disabled in order to avoid spam, you must type out your messages in full.
-Responsibility: All interactions and communications are strictly between the members involved, it is your responsibility to act sensibly and cautiously.
-Inappropriate Language: The system will by default truncate any inappropriate words, sending vulgar or inappropriate messages can get you banned.
-Term Violations: Members may be banned or their account may be terminated if they try to send messages that don’t comply with our general guidelines, so stay away from spamming or using inappropriate language.
-Best Practices: Be creative and send eye catching messages to get a fast response, people usually like a more personalized message.
INTERESTS:
-Like Profiles: In order to like any profile, simply click on the "Like" button, this button will turn blue once the like is sent, it will also become disabled once the like is sent.
-Love Profiles: In order to love any profile, simply click on the "Love" button, this button will turn red once the love is sent, it will also become disabled once the love is sent.
-Likes/Loves Received or Liked You: Here you can see the list of all the likes/loves you received from others, ordered from newest to oldest.
-Likes/Loves Sent or You Liked: Here you can see the list of all the likes/loves you sent to others, ordered from newest to oldest.
-Profile Viewers or Viewed You: Here you can see the list of users who viewed your profile.
-Profile Views or You Viewed: Here you can the see the list of profiles you viewed.
-Mutual Interests: Any mutual like/love will be moved from interests to the inbox/matches.
-Interests Expiry: All interests sent or received will expire in 30 days, after which the interest will be removed, but either party can initiate a new interest after that, this is done so that interest list doesn't become too long for anyone, and this is sufficient time for one to respond back if there is a mutual interest.
-Last Viewed: Last viewed is the date on which the profile was last viewed, which does not mean that it was the only time it was viewed.
-Best Practices: Send interests to like minded people, promptly respond back to interests received before they expire.
SEARCH:
-Search Options: Here you can search profiles based on multiple options, select the ones most relevant to you.
-Search Criterion: Here you can search profiles based on multiple criterion, try to keep your search wide in order to see more profiles.
-Search Algorithm: We will consider your search selections, but will show you the best profiles from our entire pool.
-Search Preferences: We will use your search selections as also your preferences for what you are looking for in order to give you best recommendations, so make sure you keep them as wide and relevant as possible.
-Best Practices: Search for desired members as per your preferences, try not to put too many filters at the same time as that can significantly reduce the number of search results.
SETTINGS:
-Settings: Here you can change settings for your profile, please make sure to review the default selections and change as per your preferences.
-Stats & Limits: Here you can see stats of your profile for, Liked You, You Liked, Viewed You, You Viewed, Messages, Mutuals, here you can also see limits remaining or available for Articles (lifetime), Photos (lifetime), Messages (daily), Likes (daily), Loves (daily), Blocks (daily), all limits depends on your account type.
-Visibility Settings: Here you can change settings for the following, these are only available to paid members.
--Go Underground: Selecting this will prevent your profile from appearing in search results.
--Go Undercover: Selecting this will prevent others from knowing that you viewed their profile.
-Notification Settings: Here you can change notification settings for the following.
--New Message/View: Get notification for new message/view received.
--New Like/Love: Get notification for new like/love received.
--Promotional Emails: Get occasional promotional and marketing emails.
--Stats Emails: Get stats emails to get an insight into your account activity.
-Gender Seeking: Here you can update your gender in case you entered it incorrectly while signing up, this can only be updated once if you made a mistake earlier.
-Your Location: Here you can update your actual location in case it has changed, entering fake location can lead to account termination.
-Real Name: Here you can update your real name as it would appear on our platform, this name will not appear publicly anywhere and nobody can see it except you.
-Screen Name: Here you can update your screen name as it would appear on our platform, this is the name that will appear publicly and everyone will see it.
-Update Password: Here you can update your password to access your account, we suggest that you change your password periodically to safeguard access to your account.
-Update Email Address: Here you can update your email address so that we always have your most updated email address, you must verify your email address before it goes into effect.
-Date of Birth: Here you can update how your date of birth would appear, you can either choose to display your full birth date and month and year and zodiac sign or just your age.
-Blocked Profiles: Here you can find list of users you have blocked, you can also unblock them from here for a limited time by clicking on the X in the button and then confirming that you do want to unblock the specified user.
-Close Account: Here you can permanently close your account and delete all your content which includes but not limited to your profile and articles posted, please note that this action is irreversible in most cases, we may be able to restore your account for an extra charge in some cases, but note that we can't guarantee that your account will get restored, you can contact us for more details.
-Best Practices: Review your default settings and adjust as per your preferences, your privacy is in your full control.
UPGRADE:
-Account Upgrade: Here you can upgrade your account and enjoy exclusive benefits that are only available to paid members, please note that only profiles in good status are eligible for an upgrade, we reserve the right to decline any upgrade, with or without any reason.
-Additional Products: Here you can add additional products to power up your profile with additional benefits, we reserve the right to decline any purchase.
-Account Cancellations: While it is not possible to cancel your upgrade, you can enjoy your benefits till your upgrade expires, you can also close your account whenever you want, but that will not lead to canceling your upgrade.
-Automatic Renewals: We suggest you keep auto renewal on so that you can enjoy premium benefits without any interruptions, but if you want, you can turn off the auto-renewal option from your settings page at any time, once an account has been renewed it can't be canceled till it expires, no refund will be processed under this case.
-Processing Refunds: No refunds will be given after a successful upgrade under any circumstances, all upgrades are considered final at the time of purchase.
-Best Practices: It is highly recommended that you upgrade your profile to make the best use of our services, free accounts have very limited features.
BLOCK/UNBLOCK:
-Blocking: You can block any user by simply click on the “Block Profile” button at the bottom of the profile page.
-Consequences of Blocking: If you block a user, all likes, loves, mutuals, messages will get permanently deleted, moreover, neither of you can access each other's profile.
-Unblocking: You can unblock any blocked user from your settings page, doing so will not restore any previous likes, loves, mutuals, messages, etc, you will have to start with a clean slate.
-Privacy: Due to the privacy of our members, the other party will not be informed if you decide to block or unblock them.
-Best Practices: You should only block members who you don't want to interact with, you can unblock them for a limited period after which they may get permanently blocked.
REPORT PROFILES/ARTICLES:
-Reporting: In order to report abuse of any profile or article, simply click on the “Report Abuse” button that can be found towards the bottom.
-Reasons: We encourage all our members to report abuse of any profile or articles if they find anything that doesn’t adhere to our general posting guidelines, reporting due to personal reasons is not allowed.
-Privacy: Due to privacy issues, we will not be able to disclose the outcome of any specific case that is reported to us.
-Violations: Repeated wrongful reporting may lead to termination of your account, so please make sure there is a legitimate reason for your reporting.
-Best Practices: Report profiles or articles that you think violate our term of use, we appreciate your valuable input.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
-Account Creation: Click on the sign up link that can be found in the top navbar or in the dropdown of user icon, then fill out the form.
-Account Activation: After submitting the sign up form, enter the activation code emailed to you in order to activate your account and to login.
-Account Login: Click on the sign in link that can be found in the top navbar or in the dropdown of user icon, then enter your username and password.
-Unactivated Accounts: Accounts that are not activated within 10 minutes of creation are automatically deleted, you may create a new account if that happens.
-Inactive Accounts: Accounts that are inactive and/or are not upgraded to a paid plan may get deleted by us, always make sure you keep your account active if you wish to use our services.
-Recover Password: Simply click on the recover password link on the login page, then type the email address you used to register your account and we will email you your login credentials.
-Account Approval: Make sure that you enter real info about yourself and upload your real photos, only profiles that fit into our quality score will be approved.
-Account Restrictions: We reserve the rights to restrict or inactivate any account at any time with or without notice, this usually happens due to a variety of reasons such as inactivity or violations of our terms of use.
-Account Deletions: We reserve the rights to delete any account at any time with or without notice, this may happen due to a variety of reasons such as inactivity or violations of our terms of use.
-Data Retention: You own your data, once you close your account, it is then permanently deleted from our end, after that we don't retain your data such as profile details, articles posted, etc.
-Email Notifications: You agree to receive certain account related notifications and also certain promotional emails as long as you have an active account with us, please check your spam/junk folder for account sensitive emails such as for activation code etc.
-Locations/Countries: We are only accepting select new users/members from the US and Canada at the moment, more regions will be added in the near future, entering wrong location is not allowed, accounts with fake locations will be deleted and banned.
-Content Visibility: Your content, which includes your profile and articles will be visible as long as you comply with out Terms of Use, any violations will lead to your content hidden or permanently deleted from our portal.
-Terms of Use: All users agree to our terms of use, which includes User Agreement, Privacy Policy, Copyright Policy, Cookie Use, any violations will lead to a permanent ban on our portal.
-Best Practices: Make sure to keep your account in good standing, doing so can enable you make the best use of it.
POST ARTICLES:
-Articles Limits: How many articles you can publish depends on your account type, paid plans have higher limits, if you want to publish more articles than your account limits, please contact support for more info.
-Non-Promotional & Non-Commercial: Your articles should be strictly informational or educational, there can be no promotional or commercial content in it, you can include 1-2 hyperlinks as long as those links points to sites like wikipedia, not following these guidelines will result in rejection of your article.
-Promotional & Commercial: It is possible for you to publish business articles with promotional or commercial content with up to 1-2 hyperlinks, please contact support for more info as there will be an extra charge for this.
-Publishing Articles: You can publish an article by clicking on the "Publish Article" link that can be found in the left menu of articles list page.
-Articles Title: Title of any article is the most critical part of any piece of writing, keep it short, catchy, appealing, attractive, we allow max 100 chars, but try to keep it under 60 chars, title cannot be edited because this is how the url for your article will be generated, which would be submitted to search engines for indexing, changing the title will result in changing the url as well, hence, editing title after publishing is not allowed.
-Articles Description: Description or the sub-title is the second most important part of any article, make sure it transforms the main idea, we allow max 1500 chars, feel free to use all chars allowed, description can be edited later edited for a limited time.
-Articles Image Upload: All images or artwork used should be high-quality, work-safe, appropriate, relevant to your content, and you must own or have explicit and written permission to use them, uploading unacceptable or inappropriate image will lead to deletion of your article and you getting permanently banned on our portal.
-Articles Body: Body of article is where you should explain the topic very well, we allow max 8,000 chars, feel free to use all, but your article should at least be 250 words or approx 2,000 chars, anything less than that would be too small to make a point, use sub-headings, keep paragraphs to no more than six sentences, and keep sentences to no more than 40 words, so split long paragraphs and sentences to make it more visually readable.
-Articles Word Count: Word count should be in the range of 400-800 words, anything less or more than that would seem too short or too lengthy.
-Spread the Word: After publishing an article, you should post the link your work on your personal website, post on social media, email your contacts, forward the link on texting platforms, the more you spread the word, the more traction your article will harness.
-Report: All articles posted are owned by the respective authors, we take no responsibility for any kind of inaccuracies, but you can report any article and we will take action if any content posted goes against our term of use, which is clearly mentioned in our terms and conditions, for instance, we don't allow content that hurts minorities or goes against any religion or is discriminatory or is violent or sexually explicit or contains profanity or hate language or slurs or talks about gambling or drugs or sex toys or explicitly adult content.
-Why Post: You should consider publishing articles on our portal if you want your piece to be read by millions of viewers all over the world, establish your name as a author, get a high rate of engagement, showcase your viewpoint to vast audience, and be connected with a global name.
-Tone: There is one unified voice, but there can be many tones that reflect that voice as per the situation presented, the tone of our articles must be formal, friendly, honest, respectful, authentic, upbeat, encouraging, optimistic, professional, sympathetic, and empathetic.
-Writers: Almost anyone can write articles to publish on our portal from experienced writers, bloggers, therapists, coaches, counselors, to anyone with no experience or expertise but with passion for writing.
-Comprehension: We prefer that all content be accessible and easily understandable by almost anyone, one should not have a degree in literature to understand your article, so make sure your language is simple, avoid using complex jargon.
-Inclusivity & Diversity: Please be respectful of diversity and inclusivity of different age groups, ethnicities, religions, physical and mental abilities.
-Structure: Start with an introduction to your main idea, followed by factual details to back up your concept, and then end with a strong conclusion, but feel free to break the norms and apply a different writing style as long as you make your point and the readers can understand it easily.
-Language - Articles should be written in English, and preferably in American English, our audience is global, but primarily it is the US.
-Content: Your article should be clear, insightful, informative, reliable, impactful, inclusive, relevant, thoughtful, empathetic, powerful, and genuine, stay focussed, avoid being too broad.
-Accuracy: You article should be accurate in its claims, always fact-check, mention your sourced, whenever appropriate, if you are making unconventional or personalized claims, try to back them up with ideas or experiences that are relevant.
-Gender Neutrality: You are free to write your article catering towards specifically for men or women, or both genders, or any other gender, but don't discriminate against a particular gender, we encourage equal rights, so maintain a neutral tone in our writing.
-Re-Publish: After you publish your original content on our portal, it is best not to publish the exact same article anywhere else, doing so will only go against your and our interest, duplicate content serves no purpose for anyone.
-AI Usage: It may be alright to use artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the content, but not to create it, use it judiciously and responsibly, a human is supposed to write the article, not AI.
-Article Types: You can write your article any way you want, but we encourage personal essays, personal experiences, life lessons, relationship advice, how-to guides, or anything else that you want to share with our audience.
-Copyrights: You own your content, which includes your articles, by publishing your articles on our portal you just give us rights to publish your work, you are free to delete it whenever you want.
-Original Rights: You must own rights to the articles you publish on our portal, we don't support plagiarism, so it must be original work, if you have published it elsewhere already, we ask you to use a new title and description, you should also make the content at least 20% unique, doing so will make your article as unique in the eyes of the search engines,
-Article Guidelines:
-There should be one space after a period/colon/semicolon/comma.
-Do no abbreviate words such as “and” with "&".
-Numbers under 10, like seven or eight, should be spelled out instead of 7 or 8.
-Do not put words in ALL CAPS, instead use quotes for emphasis.
-Use bold, italics, and underline sparingly.
-There should be no typos or grammatical errors.
-Always proofread your article for grammatical and typographical errors before publishing.
By using us, you are agreeing to our T&C specifically for submissions.
-Posted On: Every article that has been posted will have a "Posted On" date, this is the date when the article was published/approved.
-Updated On: Every article that has been edited will have an "Updated On" date, this is the date when the article was last edited/updated.
-Upgrade Expiration: There are different limits of articles for different account types, this will be automatically adjust when you upgrade your account and when it expires.
-Screening Articles: All articles will go through a screening process, we reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any article that does not comply with our guidelines.
-Editing Articles: Articles published can be edited by going to the article detail page and clicking on the edit button, the option to edit will be disabled few days after publishing an article.
-Inactivating Articles: Articles published can be inactivated by going to the article detail page and clicking on the "Inactivate" button, the option to delete will be disabled a few days after publishing an article.
-Formatting Articles: Tools such as bold/italics/underline/links are also available, use them sparingly only to highlight a few words.
-Sharing Articles: Articles posted can be shared on various platforms with just a click on a button, this can be found at the bottom of each article page.
-SEO: All articles posted are search engine friendly and will appear in search results on all popular search engines such as Google, Bing, etc., as well as on AI chat results such as ChatGPT, CoPilot, etc.
-Published Articles: You can see and manage the list of articles that you have already published by click on the "My Articles" link that can be found in the left menu of article list page, only you can see this list.
-Violations: All articles must adhere to our general posting guidelines or they may be removed, members who continuously post articles that are against our general guidelines may be banned from further posting, and their account may also be permanently terminated, so refrain from posting content that is against our Terms of Use.
-Validity: All articles posted are going to be permanently posted unless otherwise stated as long as you follow our guidelines and your account is active and in good standing and your article limits match your account type, we reserve the right to remove any article at any time with or without any reason.
-Best Practices: Post articles if you want to reach millions of relevant audience across the web, this is perhaps the best way to reach out to a huge audience.
HOME / WALL: -Account Snapshot: This contains all the basic info about your account, it has links to Edit Profile, Search Profile, Account Status, Account Type, Respond To Pending Messages, Respond To Pending Interests, Member Since, Updated On, and it will also have stats/links to Liked You, You Liked, Viewed You, You Viewed, Messages, Mutuals, so basically consider this like your control panel. -Profile Suggestions: This shows the most relevant profiles for you, click on view more to see more and then Explore Profiles to search for more profiles
